From as far back as I can remember in childhood, I have continually strived to bring forth everything that is hidden, and to shine light onto all the shadowy parts of the psyche. This can be done figuratively, of course, but also quite literally - by adjusting the lighting on photos, for instance.

This journey towards self-actualization can sometimes take a lifetime. As ideal as it would be to capture the entire process on camera, there is only so much time to devote. I therefore take snapshots to encapsulate life into timeless and bite-sized segments, but still aim to convey all of the textured emotions within each moment.
